1. We do not charge any extra fee for the consumption of water and electricity, but we do count on your good sense to be economical with the electrical equipment. We may charge you extra if you have used these supplies excessively.

2. We advise you to read the User Manual of every appliance you use. There is a short notice in the documentation map in the right drawer of the TV-cabinet and the extensive User Manuals can be found in the left drawer. This is especially important for the wood stove, the heating elements and the dishwasher.

3. Do not hang clothes or towels on the heating elements to dry and do not place anything at less than 50cm in front of the radiators.

4. Do not move the furniture. Do not use pillows or the seats of the sofas outside.

5. Do not throw anything in the toilettes (no tampons, sanitary pads, diapers, wet tissues,… (even if it states on the packet that they are biodegradable). Do not throw any polluting cleaning products like chlorine e.o., far or leftovers food in the toilettes or in down the sink.

6. Always use linen on the beds. If you do not, we may charge you for the cleaning of the pillows, duvets and mattresses.

7. Wood Burner : we will deliver the wood and the kindling tablets for free, please do not use anything else and please do not throw leftovers or rubbish on the burner. Make the fire with the tablets and the small pieces of wood. Open the side door a slightly and open the air vent (the handles at the bottom) completely, it is important that the fire burns well before you can put thicker pieces of wood on it and the door can be closed. When there is enough glow, you can fill the burner with wood blocks and fill it up to a third. Do NOT open the front door of the burner. To have the fire burning slower, you can close the left handle (up is closed, down is open). You do not need to remove the ashes, if there are too much ashes in the stove, please ask us to empty it.

8. The garbage truck comes on Wednesday afternoon. Please use the white containers (glass, cans, tetrabrick, plastic bottles) under the stairs as well as the grey containers in the cupboard under the sink for the rest of the rubbish and the household refuse. The pictographs on the containers will help you. When a container is full, you may place it in front of our door, we will make sure to empty it the same day. If you prefer, you may also empty the white containers in the container park (rue d’Opont, 6850 Paliseul, tel. 061/533038).

9. Pets are not allowed.

10. Please do not smoke inside the house.

11. Leave the garden as it is, do not touch trees or plants. Do not make a fire! Avoid driving with cars through the garden. Do not put up tents.

12. Empty the dishwasher before you leave.

13. Tidy up before you leave : put everything back in its place, even if you have paid for the cleaning service.

14. Close windows and doors.

15. The cleaning charges may be increased if the house is left in an excessive state of dirtiness.

16. Please do not cause a nuisance. Stick to the rule of no noise after 22.00 hours for the neighbours. Do not organise parties.

17. Report any defects immediately after arrival or within 24 hours to avoid being held responsible for it at the end of your stay. Report any damage that occurred during your stay and before you leave.
